Position Summary: The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the pipelines, data models, and integrations that power Kind Lending's Snowflake data platform.

This role owns ingestion of source data (via CDC/replication tools and custom Python) into a governed Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architecture, writes and optimizes SQL transformations and stored procedures, and partners with the BI team to ensure clean, well-modeled data is available for Power BI reporting and downstream analytics.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full data lifecycle, from raw ingestion through curated, business-ready datasets, and enjoys solving data modeling and pipeline reliability problems in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Remote, Hybrid, and In-Person available.

Pay Disclosure: The starting base salary range for this position is 120k -140k annually.

The actual base is dependent on many factors such as: work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components.

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from source systems into Snowflake, following a governed Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architecture.Build and maintain CDC-based replication/ingestion pipelines (e.g., OpenFlow, Fivetran, or comparable tools) to bring operational source data into the data platform reliably and on schedule.Write and optimize SQL, stored procedures, views, and scheduled tasks in Snowflake to transform raw data into clean, business-ready datasets.Develop Python-based scripts, automation, and integrations to support data ingestion, transformation, monitoring, and governance workflows.Design and maintain dimensional and semantic data models (fact/dimension tables, star schema, surrogate keys) that support reporting and self-service analytics.Partner with BI developers to build semantic-layer views that power Power BI dashboards, keeping business logic in the data platform rather than in DAX.Monitor pipeline health and data quality, build observability and logging into pipelines, and troubleshoot issues across ingestion and transformation layers.Integrate third-party systems and APIs (e.g...
