Member Experience Staff - RC Durr YMCA

Member Services Staff are often the first point of connection for members and guests and play an important role in making the Y the most welcoming place in our community.

Under the direction of the Membership Director, team members provide exceptional customer service, keep members informed of YMCA programs and policies, and build meaningful relationships with members, staff, volunteers, and guests.

Through every interaction, Member Services Staff help foster an atmosphere where everyone can experience a sense of achievement, relationships, and belonging while supporting the mission and values of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati.

Key Responsibilities Create a warm and welcoming first impression by greeting members and guests, learning names, making eye contact, and providing friendly, attentive service.

Assist members and guests with questions, program registration, membership information, account needs, payments, and other day-to-day requests.

Learn and confidently use YMCA membership and registration systems; we'll provide the training you need to be successful.

Share information about YMCA programs, services, and opportunities and help prospective members discover how the Y can meet their needs.

Build positive relationships with members, guests, volunteers, and fellow staff while helping foster a sense of achievement, relationships, and belonging.

Listen to member questions or concerns and work toward solutions, involving the appropriate staff or leadership when additional assistance is needed.

Follow YMCA safety procedures, emergency protocols, and membership policies to help maintain a safe and positive environment.

Help keep the Welcome Center and lobby clean, organized, and ready to welcome our community.

Stay informed about YMCA programs, schedules, events, and updates so you can confidently assist members.

Be dependable and accountable by arriving on time, working scheduled shifts, communicating appropriately, and participating in required training and staff meetings.

Support the overall YMCA team by assisting with other duties as needed.
