Summary:

The Procurement Manager identifies and enables opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance and service improvements at the plant.

This position builds strong and effective relationships both with internal customers, the local/regional category team, and external suppliers to create the framework-for the implementation of procurement initiatives and processes at the plant.

What you'll be contributing:



* Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.


* Identifies and enable opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance and service improvements at the local level.


* Source third party services and direct materials.


* Negotiates with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchasing transactions while maximizing quality, customer service, and desired delivery times


* Provides monthly reporting on savings, benefits, key initiatives, and projects.


* Works closely with operations and suppliers to procure at the lowest total cost of ownership.


* Manages the delivery of items to minimize the risk to the operation.


* Manages on-going supplier relationship and develop criteria and processes to monitor supplier compliance at the local level.


* Supports internal customer projects for sourcing and purchasing needs.


* Explores and understands customers' requirements to ensure a high level of responsive service.
