Position Overview
RMC Driver Foreperson- Initial and continued training of new Ready Mix Drivers including documented training records, CDL training & safety coaching.

Position will also assist with job site access, coordination, and daily deliveries.

Operates truck in a safe and professional manner in the plant yard, on public highways/roads, and at various job sites to deliver products.

Deliveries will be made in both commercial and residential areas.

Wage Range: $27 to $31 per hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


* Initial New Hire Training for driver essential duties and responsibilities


* Maintains equipment in a safe and clean condition.


* Performs pre and post-trip truck and trailer inspections


* Drives truck to location for unloading


* Cleans truck after delivery to prevent buildup of materials on truck


* Review of driver safety scores and video events with documented coaching


* Host scheduled safety meetings & toolbox talks


* Annual road tests of Agg/Asphalt & Transport Driver Fleet


* Routine vehicle audits for required maintenance and cleanliness


* Electronic device training and troubleshooting.


* Monitor route efficiencies and truck counts.


* Keep up to date with FMCSA regulations


* CDL Trainer.


* Smith Driver Trainer


* Other duties as directed by supervisor.

* Must have a valid Class A CDL


* Air Brakes Endorsement

Education/Experience


* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.


* 1-2 years related experience is preferred.

Work Requirements


* Must be 18 years in age or older.


* Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.


* Report to the job site dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.


* Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.


* Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
