Under the supervision of the Manager, Chemical Process Engineering; the Chemical Process Engineer is primarily responsible for developing processes and measurement techniques for manufacturing electrochemical biosensors.
Development of processes will take place in conjunction with mechanical engineers and R and D scientists to develop a robust dispensing and measurement system.
In addition, the Chemical Process Engineer is responsible for interpreting analytical sensor performance and to establish process controls for manufacturing the device.
The Chemical Process Engineer will assist in the implementation of improvements in both testing and chemical preparation processes by designing and performing experiments and creating technical documents (e.g.
Process and Equipment Validation protocols, Engineering Reports, Engineering Changes, Designed Experiments, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Test Method Developments) to support the efficient manufacturing of Siemens Healthineers products in a manner consistent with CGMP and the Siemens Healthineers Quality Management System (QMS).
Furthermore, the Chemical Process Engineer will participate and play a leadership role in development projects related to improving sensor performance and reagent solutions through wet chemical formulation development.
The Chemical Process Engineer is expected to be self-reliant and motivated to work independently, while maintaining close working relationships and communication with colleagues and management.
