Western Slope Health Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry Aide to join our team! The Laundry Aide plays an important role in ensuring our residents have clean, comfortable clothing and linens while helping maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.

What You'll Do


* Ensure an adequate supply of clean linen is available for the proper care and comfort of residents.


* Maintain linens in good repair and remove items with holes, stains, or other damage from service.


* Collect resident laundry daily or as needed.


* Label clothing for new residents as needed.


* Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens.


* Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.


* Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry services.


* Maintain an appropriate inventory of laundry supplies.


* Operate industrial washers, dryers, and related equipment safely.


* Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and sanitary.


* Report equipment problems or maintenance concerns to the Administrator.


* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required:


* High school diploma or GED.


* Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures.


* Basic math skills.


* Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance when needed.


* Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.


* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred:


* One year of laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, or related experience.

Certification: No certifications required.
Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, talking, reading, and hearing.

The employee will frequently operate industrial washers, dryers, and related laundry/housekeeping equipment.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds .

Work Environment

The work environment is generally low to moderate in noise level and includes regular use of commercial laundry equipment and supplies.
