Environmental Health Safety & Security Manager

Provides direction and feedback to site General Manager in the implementation of their EHS programs.
This position reports to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead day-to-day EHS operations and process managementCoordinate with site leadership to ensure appropriate EHS involvement in department development/modification plans and procedure developmentRepresent the EHS department at site wide management meetings/briefingsDevelop and maintain strong communication from the field back to production and manufacturingSupport our field test sites, including: Site compliance with federal, state, local, and landowner regulationsConductsafetyaudits at sites and build improvements Maintain, develop or implement site specificenvironmentalpolicies which include but are not limited to: Hazardous and non-hazardous waste managementAir permittingSpill prevention/responseStorm water managementWaste water Coordinating with and serve as the main point of contact for local regulatory agenciesDesign and create policies for employees to follow that minimize job-related hazards in our testing and deployment environmentsDevelop and conductsafetytraining according to appropriate regulationsOther duties as assigned by Manager Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work areaReport all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately Technical and Physical Requirements Associate or Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Physical or Environmental Sciences or the equivalent experience in preferredProfessional EHS designation(s) preferred7-10 years relevant industrial or maritime EHS experience preferredExcellent understanding of OSHA (maritime and general industry) and EPA (air, water, waste) regulations and industry standardsAny skill conside...
