Your impact

As a Shop Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in:


* Ensuring all plant equipment is always operating safely and efficiently.


* Championing a robust safety culture throughout the organization.


* Conducting timely repairs based on inspections and proactively addressing maintenance needs.


* Attending and contributing to plant maintenance and safety meetings.

What you'll do


* Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems for plants and support facilities.


* Use a full range of tools and equipment-from hand and power tools to hoists, cranes, welding and testing instruments.


* Listen, observe, and troubleshoot equipment issues, collaborating with team members to find and implement solutions.


* Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery, replacing defective parts and ensuring precise, reliable operation.


* Clean, lubricate, and maintain plant machinery to maximize efficiency and productivity.


* Perform skilled welding and fabrication to repair or enhance equipment.


* Maintain inventory, order essential parts and supplies, and keep accurate maintenance records.


* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, operators, and customers-both in person and via radio/telephone.


* Assist fellow maintenance staff and help drive overall plant efficiency.

What we're looking for


* Proven experience with mechanical and welding tools and procedures.


* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with an eye for detail and a passion for quality work.


* Valid driver's license and flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and variable shifts as needed.


* Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints; experience with computers and control panels a plus.
