Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Unit Manager (LPN) to provide clinical leadership and oversight for a resident care unit.

This role is responsible for coordinating resident care, supervising nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting exceptional resident outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities


* Oversee the daily clinical operations of an assigned resident care unit


* Ensure residents receive quality care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans


* Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including CNAs and LPNs


* Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely follow-up on changes in status


* Conduct rounds and address resident, family, and staff concerns


* Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed


* Review and maintain accurate clinical documentation


* Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team conferences


* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations


* Support survey readiness efforts and quality improvement initiatives


* Collaborate with physicians, therapy staff, families, and other departments to promote positive resident outcomes


* Assist nursing leadership with staffing, training, and employee development initiatives

Qualifications
Education & Experience


* Current, unrestricted LPN license in South Carolina


* Previous supervisory or leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred


* Strong understanding of resident care planning, clinical documentation, and regulatory compliance


* Experience managing and supporting nursing staff preferred

Licenses & Certifications


* Current CPR certification


* Must maintain all required continuing education and licensure requirements
