Neuropsychologist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of employees through cultivation of a high performance team.
- Ensure adequate staff coverage for assigned program area.
- Serve as subject matter expert for identified area of program knowledge.
- Ensure assigned team is meeting contract and individual SLA's, and related requirements.
- Work with contract management and shared services to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies.
- May attend client and stakeholder meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning in military personnel and eligible family members.
- Evaluate and interpret conditions including traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other neurocognitive or behavioral health conditions.
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation recommendations, including cognitive rehabilitation and psychotherapy interventions, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, human performance, and operational professionals to coordinate integrated care and support mission readiness.
- Provide consultation and education to patients, families, providers, and program stakeholders regarding neuropsychological findings and recommended interventions.
- Support clinical research, data analysis, and program evaluation activities that advance understanding of brain-behavior relationships and improve program effectiveness.
- Provide professional consultation or expert testimony in forensic or operational contexts, as required.
- Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable professional standards, privacy requirements, ethical principles, and program procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of two years of related experience.
- Current LCSW or LMSW with license valid in the state of practice is required.
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Neuropsychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in a U.S.
state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical neuropsychology, psychological testing, diagnostic assessment, and treatment planning.
- Knowledge of professional, ethical, privacy, and documentation standards applicable to clinical practice and research.
- Strong analytical, written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in clinical, research, and mission-focused environments while exercising sound professional judgment and attention to detail.
