Application Engineer (BMS&EPMS)
The Application Engineer is responsible for engineering, configuration, testing, and deployment of Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and Digital Energy Solutions.
The role develops and implements application software, system databases, graphics, communication interfaces, and control strategies while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, project specifications, and Schneider Electric standards.
Working closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, customers, and technical teams, the position supports the successful delivery of Data Centers, Critical Infrastructure, and Digital Energy projects through high-quality engineering and application execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Design & System Development
• Develop engineering deliverables for BMS, EPMS, and Digital Energy projects.
• Prepare and maintain system databases, functional design documents, point schedules, graphics, control sequences, and engineering documentation.
• Support system architecture, network design, and subsystem integration activities.
• Ensure deliverables comply with customer requirements, project specifications, and Schneider Electric standards.
Software Configuration & System Implementation
• Configure and deploy applications using EBO, EPO, PME, ETAP Real-Time solutions (PSMS, SBO and eOTS), and PLC / DDC platforms.
• Develop control logic, alarm management functions, equipment control strategies, HMI graphics, reports, and system interfaces.
• Convert engineering requirements into operational software and visualization systems.
System Integration & Testing
• Configure and validate communications between field devices, PLCs, DDCs, SCADA servers, power meters, relays, and third-party systems.
• Support system integration, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in communication network validation and data verification during project execution.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Support
• Support engineering standardization, application templates, and best-practice implementation.
• Contribute to technical problem solving, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support during project delivery and warranty periods.
Qualifications & Skills
Education• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience• 3-8 years of experience in BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC/DDC, Building Automation, or Industrial Automation projects.
• Experience with software configuration, system integration, and commissioning activities.
• Experience in Data Center, Critical Facility, or Industrial Infrastructure projects is preferred.
Technical Competencies
• Strong knowledge of BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC, DDC, and Industrial Automation systems.
