Personal Care Assistant

Personal Care Assistant Department: Resident Care Location: Supportive Care Reports to: Director of Supportive Care Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, Hourly/Non-Exempt Current Openings: Full-Time, Second Shift: 3:00 p.m.11:00 p.m.Part-Time, First Shift: 7:00 a.m.3:00 p.m.

Position Summary We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Personal Care Assistants to join our Supportive Care team.

In this role, you will provide essential daily living support while promoting each residents comfort, dignity, safety, well-being, and independence.

The ideal candidate has a genuine desire to work with older adults and can provide personal care, mobility assistance, mealtime support, companionship, and other services in a warm and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, incontinence care, positioning, transfers, and mobility.Encourage residents to remain as independent as their abilities allow.Change bed linens and assist with collecting and distributing laundry, linens, and garments as permitted by applicable regulations.Accurately document resident care and complete all required forms and records.Promptly report changes in a residents condition or other concerns to the supervisor in charge.Monitor and record vital signs as directed by regulations, community policies, or a healthcare providers orders.Respond promptly to emergency call signals and requests for assistance.Follow all accident, disaster, fire-safety, elopement, infection-control, and emergency procedures.Promptly report incidents and complete all required documentation accurately and professionally.Immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, inappropriate care, or misuse of resident or community property.Learn residents backgrounds, preferences, routines, habits, and interests while protecting their privacy and confidentiality.Support residents during mealtimes and help create an enjoyable dining experience.Assist residents with eating and with carrying plates, trays, and beverages as needed.Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms, dining areas, public spaces, equipment, and work areas.Communicate professionally with residents, families, visitors, supervisors, vendors, and team members.Protect residents rights, dignity, comfort, privacy, safety, and satisfaction.Answer telephone calls according to company and community standards when requested.Assist temporarily in other positions or departments when necessary.Perform other duties as assigned.
