We're looking for a Reservations Manager who brings the same quiet confidence we ask of our brand: precise under pressure, warm without trying too hard, and genuinely invested in turning an enquiry into a stay worth talking about.

 

The Role
As Reservations Manager, you lead the department's day-to-day operations — shaping plans that support the hotel's commercial targets and setting the standard for how every booking is handled.

You'll personally manage group requests of ten rooms or more from guests and agents, oversee the wider team's handling of individual reservations, and keep The Alva's rates, packages and distribution channels sharp and current.

You'll work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, translating targets into day-to-day precision across every reservation that comes through the door.

 

What You'll Bring


* A degree or equivalent qualification in Hotel Management or Business Administration


* 2+ years' reservations experience, including time at supervisory or executive level


* Confidence with hotel systems, including OPERA and Delphi


* Sharp interpersonal and communication skills — bilingual or multilingual is a genuine advantage


* Professional phone manner and a natural instinct for up-selling without ever feeling like a sales pitch


* Strong problem-solving, organisational and training ability


* A collaborative approach — happy to prioritise your own workload and jump in for colleagues when it's busy


* Fluent English; unlimited work rights in Australia
