Anchor Paper Company has been established since 1923 and is the leading Midwest Distribution of Premium Fine paper and Industrial products.
We are seeking a full-time Maintenance employee at our headquarters to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.
to 3:00 p.m.
Job Function: The Maintenance role ensure facilities and equipment remain safe, reliable, and fully operational.
This position requires strong attention to detail, broad maintenance skills, and a commitment to supporting an efficient work environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Perform routine facility maintenance to keep equipment operating efficiently.Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues or malfunctions.Repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.Schedule and oversee inspections and maintenance services performed by outside contractors.Maintain repair equipment and supply inventory.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance and repair requests.Document maintenance and repair work completed.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.Collaborate with other facility staff to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.Update maintenance records and prepare activity reports.Recommend improvements to enhance facility operations.Set up and take down equipment for events or functions.Assist with maintenance budget development and monitor related spending.Support energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven experience in maintenance work, preferably in a similar facility.Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.Good physical condition and strength.Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail.Basic math skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Certification from a vocational school or trade school is a plus.Valid drivers license.Understanding of safety practices and experience with safety equipment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Willingness to complete additional training as required.
Education and Experience: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent License, Certificate, or Registration: Class B license, D.O.T.
physical, or willingness to obtain one within a specified time limit required.
