Position Summary The Claims Service Representative engages with insured individuals, agents, and internal colleagues to execute fundamental claims processing responsibilities, while delivering basic information with a superior standard of customer service.

Responsibilities Input all initial reports of injury and loss claims received via mail, fax, phone, and email.Initiate and receive inbound and outbound calls to effectively resolve customer concerns.Deliver exceptional customer service to agents and insured individuals by confirming coverage details and addressing general claims inquiries.Originate initial contact regarding all lost time and medical only claims.Request first reports of injury for unmatched mail and accurately complete state forms.Facilitate the preparation and transmission of claim documents to defense attorneys and other vendors.Dispatch initial claim correspondence.Record document details in Claim Management System.Coordinate the retrieval of medical notes and bills from providers.Process bill payments, organize incoming mail, update client information, process check printing, and manage supply orders.Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications High school diploma and one or more years of customer service experience in a workers compensation claims environment; or equivalent combination of education and experienceProficient in both verbal and written communication with the ability and commitment to maintain confidentialitySkill in interpersonal interactions, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders; skill in customer service and problem-solvingCapacity to work autonomously while ensuring transparent communication with internal leadershipSkill in time and organizational management; ability to multi-task effectively while paying attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software applications Lets talk benefits!
