Regional Sales Manager

Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) leads and develops a team of 4-5 sales professionals, driving performance through coaching, accountability, and strategic direction.

This role is responsible for enabling the team to engage customers at all levels of the organization ("high, wide, and deep"), building strong stakeholder relationships that position Avient as a preferred and trusted partner.

The RSM coaches and models customer-centric selling, emphasizing value-based solutions that differentiate Avient's products and services.

They actively support their team in identifying opportunities, solving complex customer challenges, and delivering solutions that create value for both the customer and Avient.

As a leader, the RSM brings energy, professionalism, and a results-oriented mindset to daily operations, fostering a high-performance culture.

They operate with a high degree of independence, serving as a thought leader who can effectively influence and align stakeholders across both Avient and customer organizations, including senior and executive levels.

This position requires up to 75% travel.Qualifications

• Must be experienced in developing a budget, operating plan and goals & objectives for sellers that align and ensure delivery of the annual operating plan commitments.
• Development of short- and long-term sales forecasts for territory by business segment and markets.
• Assist in preparation of the business plan, strategy, and implement business plan successfully.
• Perform market share analysis, understand competitive landscape, and make recommendations for increasing market share.
• Maintaining first-hand knowledge of technology changes, material development and market place conditions
• Lead sales meetings.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Management, or a related field required.
MBA or other advanced business degree preferred but not required.

Experience:

7+ years of progressive sales experience, including leadership responsibilities.About Us
