Kitchen Production Assistant

IKEA Doncaster DC are looking to welcome a Part-time Kitchen Production Assistant to join our delightful and hardworking team.

This is a fast-paced role for someone who is passionate about serving simple, good-quality food.  

As a Kitchen Production Assistant, you will support in producing our meals in our busy co-worker restaurant - including our meatballs and hot dishes! If you’re passionate about great food, smooth operations, and creating an exceptional co‑worker experience, this role is for you.

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be 21st of September 2026.
• £15,736.50 per annum, 22.5 hour contract.
• £10,491.00 per annum, 15 hour weekend only contract.
• 22.5 hours per week working 3 days over 7 including alternate weekends.

Working rotational shifts of 06:30am - 14:30pm and 12:30pm - 20:00pm.
• 15 hours per week working weekend only, Saturday and Sunday working rotational shifts of 06:30am - 14:30pm and 12:30pm - 20:00pm.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE  

• Prior kitchen and catering experience is a plus, but not required if you are hands-on and willingness to roll up your sleeves. 
• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.

You enjoy working in a busy role, where you will be multi-tasking and working to deadlines.
• Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team. 
• Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY  

• You will be preparing and making meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our co-workers and external partners.
• The kitchen is a safety-first, fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail for all things safety as well as efficient multi-tasking to ensure IKEA remains a safe place for people to work and have fun.  
• Preparing for the next day's trade, as well as managing waste and working in a sustainable and cost-conscious way. 
• Following a cleaning schedule and making sure the cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard.
