Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Procurement (Global Transportation), to be based in Japan.

The Senior Manager, Procurement (Global Transportation) develops and executes multi‑year transportation sourcing strategies aligned with business plans, managing a 100M medium‑to‑low complexity portfolio.

The role sources multi‑modal transport such as Air, Ocean, Ground, Rail and Parcels, owns supplier relationships, drives cost savings and total‑cost‑of‑ownership improvements, enforces contract compliance, and tracks KPIs for service, quality and risk.

The manager partners with Global Category Leadership and APAC regional cross sector stakeholders, influences cross‑functional teams, and implement procurement roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Business Engagement & Strategic Orchestration


* Build and maintain relationships throughout J&J that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions


* Identifies business requirements and partners with Transportation Operation team and Global Transportation Procurement team to deliver annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage


* Support the Global Category Leads on Global Transportation Procurement strategy


* Keep up to date on the logistics industry and communicate industry updates to business partners

Regional/Market Sourcing & Business Centric Strategies


* Design and execute sourcing strategies for APAC Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding category that are aligned globally but adaptable to APAC regional needs.


* Deep dive the characteristics and business requirements of country/market Transportation spends and create sourcing strategies that are aligned with Operation team and Global/Regional category leads.

First countries are Japan and India, and expand coverage to other countries as the program matures.
