Keeping our kitchen running smoothly is essential to delivering an exceptional dining experience.

As a Full-time Commis Chef, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every dish is prepared with precision and care.

From supporting senior chefs with high-quality food preparation to assisting junior team members and maintaining strict food safety standards, your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will keep the kitchen operating at its best.

You’ll bring passion, teamwork and pride to every shift.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


* Support the delivery of exceptional dining experiences while representing the venue’s values.


* Prepare, present and store a variety of dishes according to established portion and quality standards.


* Communicate courteously and professionally with guests, colleagues and other departments.


* Escalate guest feedback or concerns to senior chefs promptly and appropriately.


* Ensure ingredients, materials and equipment are prepared and organised before service.


* Support cost control through accurate portioning, correct storage and reduced food waste.


* Follow standard recipes and procedures to maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation.


* Work across different kitchen sections and rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays.


* Maintain high standards of personal presentation, hygiene and professional conduct.


* Help create a positive team environment by supporting junior staff and kitchen hands.


* Attend daily briefings and participate in relevant training and development activities.


* Rotate through kitchen stations and contribute to a flexible and efficient team.


* Follow all venue policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety, food hygiene and operational standards.

Skills and Qualifications:


* Food Safety Certificate


* Computer literacy


* Knowledge of safe handling/lifting procedures


* Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage


* Full Australian working rights are required.
