On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Older Adults Grant Occupational Therapist will be part of the home modification team and responsible for completing an initial and follow-up home assessment, recommending home modification interventions, completing and sharing home assessment reports with the project manager, and providing education and training on installed equipment.
Responsibilities also entail communicating with organization staff, contractors, and clients to meet grant requirements and ensure best practices.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Completing an initial and follow-up home assessment for each client served during the grant cycle.
Documentation and Reporting: Conduct each home assessment using Home for Life Design, Home Assessment with provided access from the organization.
Prepare and submit required reports to funders on schedule.
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and HUD requirements related to home modifications and accessibility standards.
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure high-quality home modifications and customer satisfaction standards.
Participate in Home for Life Design, Home Assessment training, and monthly Meetings Conduct outreach to eligible individuals, community organizations, and social service agencies to promote program availability and benefits.
