On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking Rebuild Navigator Coordinator to be the first point of contact for people seeking help.
They screen applicants, gather necessary personal information, and answer questions or concerns.
To succeed in this role, strong attention to detail, organization, people skills, and excellent customer service are essential.
This position is key to our disaster response, helping manage urgent requests for support.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Screen interested applicants, determine service needs (Mortgage Assistance, Home Repair, Homeownership, Disaster Relief, etc.), and provide information and referral 30 assistance to appropriate agencies and community programs to assist non-eligible individuals.Support disaster response intake by gathering, documenting, and tracking urgent requests related to natural disasters (e.g., wildfires, floods), ensuring timely handoff to the appropriate internal team, such as Home Preservation or Case Management.Collect eligibility documentation from prospective participants and provide timely feedback to participants seeking grant information via email or phone.Participate in regular meetings, trainings, and accept the responsibility for aiding the development of positive team relationships.
