GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Wildfire Warehouse Lead will serve as the primary onsite employee responsible for independently overseeing the day to day operation of Habitat LAs Wildfire Relief Warehouse in Compton.
The Wildfire Warehouse Lead will manage the receiving, inventory tracking, and distribution of goods for the ReBUILD LA wildfire relief efforts.
The individual will also operate a box truck to conduct deliveries to ReStore locations, construction sites and Wildfire events.
This position is a temporary role expected to continue for a period of one (1) year,unlessextended or terminated earlier in accordance with company policies and applicable law.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Receive, inspect, organize, track, store, and distribute donated goods and building materials.
Safely operate a box truck to transport goods and materials to ReStore locations, Wildfire events, constructions sites within LA County.
Safely operate a forklift and follow general forklift safety procedures when loading, unloading, and moving materials.
Coordinate and provide guidance or safety instructions to staff and volunteers assigned to assist at the warehouse.
Independently oversee daily warehouse operations, including opening and closing responsibilities, safety, cleanliness, organization, and OSHA compliance.
SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, 75 lb.
physical lift test, background check, authorization, and a driving record check.Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA Drivers License, and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance.
Experience driving a box truck (preferred) Previous experience independently overseeing warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management.
