Scope of Responsibility: This position performs production within prescribed codes, and according to prescribed procedures, specifications, and drawings.

Must complete Welder Training Program.

The pole assembly generally consists of a round tube or formed shaft, base plate, hand hole, arm mounting simplex, tenon top, vangs, step lugs, ladder clips, and/or other small parts.Works in Large Pole department on individual fitter station to assemble pole assembly.

Assist material handler in loading round tube or formed shaft on individual fitter station.Reads and interprets drawings to determine parts needed to assemble pole assembly.

Locate and gather Storeroom Personnel staged parts needed for assembly from parts staging area.

Frequently pushes, pulls, and lifts up to 50 pounds.Reads and interprets drawing to assure proper location of various small part attachments.

Layout various locations on round tube or formed shaft based upon interpretation of drawings and specifications.Uses measuring tape, level, square, and angle finders to measure distances and angles.

Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals.

Uses table to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.Uses plasma torch and oxy-fuel torch to cut steel.

Uses jigs made at Sabre/Texas for laying out vang slots and for cutting holes in shafts for inserting ...
