Floor Care Technician

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all hard floor and carpeted surfaces throughout Lake Chelan Health facilities, including clinical and non-clinical areas.

This position performs routine and periodic floor maintenance utilizing commercial floor scrubbers, carpet extraction equipment, vacuums, and other specialized cleaning equipment.

The Floor Care Technician supports a safe, sanitary, and welcoming healthcare environment by maintaining floors in accordance with infection prevention practices, organizational standards, and regulatory requirements.

This position requires the ability to work independently, safely move furniture and equipment, and coordinate work activities to minimize disruption to patients, visitors, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED preferred.Previous floor care or EVS experience preferredAbility to operate cleaning equipment safely.English / Spanish speaking preferred.Ability to operate floor care equipment safely and effectively.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail.Ability to prioritize work assignments.Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.Basic understanding of infection prevention practices.Ability to safely move heavy furniture and equipment.
