Scope of Responsibility: Set up and install electrical components such as wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, and outlets in industrial buildings.
Interpret and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to plan and install electrical systems correctly.
Identify electrical issues, faults, and malfunctions in systems, wiring, and equipment.
Fix or replace faulty wiring, switches, outlets, and electrical devices, ensuring systems function safely.
Essential Duties: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Additional duties as assigned Regular and on-time attendance Work in your shift as scheduled Getting along with coworkers Position Requirements: Education: Associate's degree a plus, but not required Experience: Training in vocational schools, or related on-the-job experience.
Electrician certification is preferred.
Skills & Abilities: Must be able to work efficiently without supervision.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
