Nurse Supervisor (Urgent Care, Kissimmee)

Nemours is seeking Burse Supervisor (Full-Time), to join our Urgent Care team in Kissimmee, Florida.

The Nurse Supervisor serves as the primary educator for the urgent care clinical team, leading the development, delivery, and evaluation of comprehensive education programs and competency assessments that ensure safe, consistent, and evidence‑based pediatric care across all urgent care sites.

This role strengthens organizational practice by maintaining educational materials, supporting policy development through training expertise, implementing reliable methods for new procedures and services, and promoting a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth.

In addition to educational leadership, the Nurse Leader works scheduled clinical shifts and participates in the on‑call rotation, maintaining proficiency in registered nurse duties while serving as a clinical resource, supporting workflow, and fostering operational excellence in a dynamic urgent care environment.

This position is responsible for the following:



* Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of education curricula, competency programs, and training plans to support clinical, organizational, and regulatory outcomes.



* Design and deliver training using diverse teaching modalities, maintain up‑to‑date educational resources, and create tools and reliable methods for new procedures, labs, and services.



* Provide education‑based guidance for policy development, conduct clinical audits, and ensure alignment of urgent care practices with current standards and regulatory expectations.



* Mentor and coach clinical staff, identify development needs, conduct annual competency assessments, and support quality improvement and professional growth initiatives.



* Evaluate progress to attainments of outcomes.



* Work clinical shifts and participate in the on‑call rotation, maintaining RN proficiency and serving as an expert resource for clinical decision‑making, workflow support, and patient care processes.



* Demonstrate strong professional competencies by independently prioritizing work, adapting to changing conditions, problem‑solving operational challenges, and proactively improving clinical processes



* Collaborates closely with the quality and safety team to ensure designated areas are regulatory ready at all times.



* Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing and professional development practice.



* Evaluate his/her own practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, and relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.



* Model professional behaviors include involvement/collaboration in professional organizations, academic institutions, engagement in lifelong learning activities, dissemination of information through publications and presentations, and involvement in nursing research and evidence-based activities.
