Maintenance Intern

Gain Valuable Experience in Residential Maintenance with Velair! We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on intern to gain valuable experience in property maintenance within the property management industry.

This internship provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals while maintaining properties across Minnesota.

You will develop essential skills and gain exposure to the maintenance and upkeep of multi-million-dollar residential assets through a variety of general, preventative, emergency, and routine maintenance tasks.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (Full-Time Internship, 40 hours/week) Duration: June 2026 - August 2026 Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities Work Orders: Complete work orders at assigned Velair properties, responding to maintenance requests and repairs for resident apartments, buildings, and exterior grounds.Property Maintenance: Maintain properties to Velair standards by performing daily cleaning, trash collection, and preventative maintenance.Equipment & Systems Care: Assist with the care and service of building systems and equipment and familiarize yourself with operation and maintenance manuals for various facility equipment.Team Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team, supervisors, and property managers to ensure the smooth operation of all property maintenance functions.Adherence to Standards: Follow safety protocols, adhere to Fair Housing Laws, and perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
