Summary - basic function of the role
The Maintenance Technician supports safe and reliable manufacturing operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, completing repairs, and assisting with equipment installation and modification.
This position is responsible for helping minimize production downtime and maintaining machinery, test fixtures, manufacturing equipment, and facility systems in safe and effective operating condition.
Shift: Monday - Friday; 8 - 4:30 pm or 8:30 - 5:00 pm; flexible
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery, test fixtures, facility systems, and related equipment.
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs safely and efficiently to minimize production downtime.
* Coordinate maintenance activities and priorities with the Maintenance Supervisor and production leadership.
* Install, set up, modify, test, and support the startup of new or existing machinery and equipment.
* Inspect equipment to identify potential failures, safety concerns, and opportunities to improve reliability.
* Maintain accurate and complete records of preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, parts used, and other maintenance activities.
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements, and promptly report unsafe conditions.
* Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measurement instruments safely and effectively.
* Perform welding, fabrication, equipment calibration, and facility-maintenance activities as qualified and assigned.
* Assist with maintaining plant property, utilities, building systems, and equipment in good working condition.
* Safely handle and properly dispose of solvents, lubricants, chemicals, hazardous materials, and maintenance-related waste.
