About the Job:

Join our growing Title Services team as a Title Examiner! In this role, you'll apply title underwriter guidelines to generate accurate title commitments, review search results to determine insurability and transaction-specific requirements and calculate title premiums.

You'll partner closely with our underwriter support unit and customers to resolve title issues and help ensure smooth, successful closings.

What You Will Do:


* Review recorded documents and chain of title to determine insurability.


* Assembles requirements on the title insurance commitment necessary to insure the title request, as per the title underwriter requirements and guidelines.


* Calculates premiums and assists with the preparations and approval of documents.


* Reads and maps legal descriptions.


* Construction Draws and Endorsements.


* Policy Preparation and Completion.


* Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:


* High School Diploma or GED.


* 5+ Years of Prior Title Insurance Examiner Experience.


* Must hold Michigan Resident Title Producer License.


* Excellent Communication, Organization, Analytical Skills, and Attention to detail.


* Must be able to draw and understand legal descriptions.


* Ability to apply underwriter criteria and guidelines of search results to generate an accurate title commitment.


* Computer Skills with preferable experience with SoftPro software.
