Inventory Control Manager

Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory accuracy, cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, returns processing, receiving QC validation, and physical inventory activities within our 3PL warehouse and distribution facility.

This role is responsible for the daily leadership, execution, development, and accountability of the Inventory Control and Returns teams.

The Inventory Control Manager works closely with warehouse leadership and other departments to resolve inventory issues, improve process discipline, and maintain accurate inventory records.

This position is separate from the eCommerce Inventory Manager, who is responsible for eCommerce and wholesale account inventory, pick-face management, and replenishment.

Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Control and Returns teams.Assign daily work and ensure priorities are completed accurately and on time.Monitor productivity, attendance, work quality, and adherence to procedures.Provide regular feedback and address performance issues promptly.Maintain appropriate staffing and cross-training within the department.

Inventory Control Maintain accurate inventory records within Da Vinci Unified WMS.Manage cycle counts, location audits, recounts, and inventory adjustments.Investigate inventory discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.Identify root causes and work with operational leaders to prevent repeat errors.Maintain inventory-control documentation, schedules, and audit records.

Returns Processing Oversee the daily processing of customer and operational returns.Ensure returned products are inspected, documented, and assigned the correct disposition.Monitor returns accuracy, productivity, aging, and backlog.Ensure returned inventory is entered correctly into the WMS and stored in the appropriate location and status.Coordinate with Account Management and warehouse departments to resolve return-related issues.

Receiving QC Validation Confirm required receiving QC inspections are completed accurately.Review receiving discrepancies involving quantities, item identification, product condition, labeling, or inventory status.Ensure damaged, held, or nonconforming inventory is properly documented and controlled.Partner with Receiving leadership to correct recurring errors.

Physical Inventory and Audits Coordinate quarterly audits and the annual wall-to-wall physical inventory.Prepare count plans, staffing assignments, training, and reconciliation activities.Ensure physical counts are completed accurately and according to established procedures.Review results and implement corrective actions when needed.

Reporting and Collaboration Track inventory accuracy, cycle-count completion, discrepancy aging, returns backlog, and adjustment activity.Provide timely updates on performance, risks, and unresolved issues.Work closely with Receiving, Shipping, Pick & Pack, Production, Account Management, IT, and warehouse leadership.Partner with...
