Production Shift Lead- 2nd Shift

Position Summary: The role functions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities.

Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations - a recognized expert in the areas to which assigned.

Ensures that People Safety, Food Safety, Food Quality and Production training and standards are completed and adhered to.

This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills to support site objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with GMP's, food safety, quality, and production controls.

Review production records for accuracy and ensure all records are maintained properly.

Ensure sanitation, housekeeping and overall cleanliness of the production room is in compliance with quality standards.

Lead/Assist in team member orientation and training.

Perform activities in compliance with all customer and government regulations (USDA, FDA).

Expected to work the required hours needed to execute the duties and responsibilities of the Production Lead position.

Ensures accurate and timely completion of production records.

Knows and follows all safety requirements.

Contributes to the development of the department.

Recognizes, initiates, and leads improvement activities.

Is not hesitant to change or challenge decisions to meet performance goals or commitments.

Ensures that all details of a task are accomplished properly.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1+ years prior manufacturing experience.

Previous experience as Production Lead or Senior Production Worker.

Advanced production/manufacturing competence.

Follows existing policies, practices and procedures, and ensures others do.

Identifies and reports quality concerns.

Ability to lift 50lbs.

Able to stand for 12-hour shifts.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

Work may involve lifting materials and product up to 50 pounds.

Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors and non-slip shoes.

Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
