Cross Country Coach
Seattle Waldorf School seeks an experienced and engaging cross-country running coach for our coed, 4th through 8th grade program.
Practices are from 3:15-5pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, from September 9 through October 1.
Meets are on September 20, 27 and October 4.
We participate in the CYO Cross Country league.
This position can also be extended through the late fall/winter Orienteering season and into the spring track and field season, depending on the interest and availability of applicants.
Training is available for orienteering coaches.
We are looking for someone who can work effectively as part of a team and independently, is experienced with running, has strong leadership skills, and who can motivate, lead, and inspire others.

Job Summary: Cross Country Coach.
Practices Mondays and Wednesdays, after school from 3:15-5:00 p.m., meets on Sundays.
The season begins in September.
The Orienteering season follows a similar practice schedule and there are up to two weekend events per month from October through February.
Specific Responsibilities: Supervise participants throughout the practices and until they are picked up by their caregivers Plan and execute developmentally appropriate drills and activities Ensure health and safety of participants at all times.
Respond to injuries according to 1st aid guidelines and communicate with the Athletic Director about any injuries.
Facilitate a team environment that is welcoming to all, regardless of skill level, and takes into consideration the needs of every person individually Teach and uphold the values of sportsmanship, respect, and community Model a culture of continuous learning and striving for ones personal best Read, understand, and uphold the schools code of conduct Communicate with the Athletic Director about any challenges or concerns Performs other duties as assigned
