Customer Service Representative - $21/hour

At Solar Atmospheres, our customers trust us with parts that end up in spaceships, airplanes, and medical devices like pacemakers.

As a Customer Service Representative in our Fontana, CA office, you'll be the person making sure those customers always know where their order stands: from status updates to delivery timing to documentation.

Whether you have direct customer service experience or come from a general office background, with the right attention to detail and communication skills, we'll train you to succeed in this role.

Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday What you'll do You'll be the go-to person customers count on for answers, so you'll need to be comfortable juggling multiple requests at once without losing track of details.

Expect a mix of the following: Respond to customer status requests received by email and phone Provide customers with delivery information and proactively notify them of late deliveries Communicate delivery requirements internally to the appropriate personnel Provide customers with inventory information upon request Update revised documents within the internal database Pull and prepare records as requested, including confirming records are complete prior to scanning Email customers when specific documents are needed Prepare and send the daily expedite report Assist with monthly inventory Assist data entry and office personnel with additional tasks as time permits What you need to thrive in this role High School Diploma or GED required 2 years' customer service, general administrative, or business office experience preferred Reliable and organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Effective oral and written communication skills and good judgment Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Comfortable working directly with customers by phone and email About us The mission of Solar Atmospheres is to add significant value to our customer's operations by thermally treating parts, principally in a vacuum environment, with an unwavering commitment to honesty in all relationships.
