Job Summary The Claims Assistant is responsible for processing incoming claims from DPS and MyPCS move, ensuring proper setup in the appropriate ERP, and then assigning new claims to the adjusters based on standing management direction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receives settlement and vendor paymentsEnsures all settlement documents are in good orderRecords payments and prepares for mailingHelps management by reviewing claim notes on open/closed claims to ensure follow-ups are being pursued; communicates to adjusters as neededMonitors and manages the shared claims email boxMaintains a high level of professionalism and confidentialityDemonstrates and live out positive, respectful and engaged behavior toward coworkers, customers, vendors and our Company on a daily basisKeeps accurate records of time worked and submits timesheets at appropriate timesAdheres to all Company safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsWorks scheduled shifts with predictable and reliable attendance, adhering to department scheduleWorks weekends and evenings, including more than 8 hours a day when the needs of the business demandPerforms various special projects and other duties as assigned
