Home Health Hospice Aide

Position Summary: Provides for the personal care needs of the client as designated on the plan of care Perform duties within the boundaries of the personal care policies and procedures Reports on changes in patients care, condition or needs to RN Case Manager or Supervising RN in a timely manner Attends a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education/in-service each year Takes accurate and timely vital signs when ordered Use equipment safely and properly to meet the safety needs of the patients Demonstrates a high degree of commitment to customer service and the provision of quality care POSITION SUMMARY EXPANDED: Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, (The Unity Bill) this position is considered a Safety-sensitive position.

Safety-sensitive is defined to include any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.

Employees working in safety-sensitive roles are subject to this exception and subject to disciplinary action in the event of a positive test for marijuana or its metabolites.

Qualifications: Current certification as a Certified Home Health Aide One-year Home Health Aide experience preferred Maintain current BLS certification Has ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job function (Word, Excel, Outlook and EMR software) Ability to work independently with little direct supervision Able to work in a stressful environment Compassionate, patient and caring nature Current automobile insurance coverage Continuing Education Requirements: Agency personnel are expected to participate in appropriate ongoing education and training as required by the Agency.
