Essential Responsibilities


* Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans and physician orders.


* Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition.


* Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.


* Respond appropriately to changes in resident condition and medical emergencies.


* Supervise and support LVNs and Certified Nursing Assistants in providing quality resident care.


* Communicate resident status and changes in condition to physicians, families, and appropriate members of the healthcare team.


* Complete accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, medications, and resident care.


* Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.


* Follow infection-control procedures and all facility policies and regulatory requirements.


* Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and comfort.


* Assist in maintaining a positive, professional, and respectful environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications


* Required: Current and active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.


* Previous experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute care, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or acute care preferred.


* Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.


* Excellent communication and organizational abilities.


* Ability to effectively supervise and collaborate with nursing staff.


* Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to resident care.
