As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will design and deliver full-stack solutions that power critical financial workflows and client-facing platforms.

You will work across the entire software development lifecycle - from architecture and development to testing and deployment - contributing to systems that operate at enterprise scale.

Your work will directly support the reliability, performance, and evolution of platforms that serve clients and business partners across global markets.

Job responsibilities



* Execute software solutions across design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond conventional approaches to break down complex problems and deliver scalable outcomes


* Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems across full-stack Java and front-end environments


* Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables - including code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation - while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contribute learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness


* Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation


* Build and optimize relational and non-relational database solutions across Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, and CockroachDB to support high-availability, high-throughput workloads


* Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met throughout software code development


* Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems


* Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture


* Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions


* Participate in code reviews, providing and incorporating constructive feedback to continuously raise the bar on engineering quality

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
