Job Summary

The Receptionist in a long-term care facility, assisted living or independent living facility serves as the

first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, providing a welcoming and organized

environment.

This role involves greeting people, answering phones, handling inquiries, and managing

administrative tasks to support facility operations and resident well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities


* Warmly welcoming visitors, residents, and staff, providing information and directing them as needed.


* Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, and ensuring prompt communication.


* Answering questions about the facility, resident status, services, and general information.


* Managing mail, packages, and deliveries; scheduling appointments; assisting with filing, data entry, and other light clerical duties.


* Keeping accurate records of visitors, deliveries, and appointments, and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.


* Maintaining a clean and organized reception area and contributing to a positive atmosphere.


* Facilitating communication between residents, families, and staff, and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.


* Assisting with transportation scheduling, guest meal coordination, and other tasks as needed.


* Ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date and readily available.


* Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


* One or more years of experience in a clerical position preferably in healthcare setting.


* Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and staff.


* The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed records


* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.


* The ability to provide positive and helpful experience for residents and visitors.


* The ability to address issues and find solutions efficiently
