Engineer II, Electromechanical Simulation
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical / Electromechanical Simulation Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in structural, dynamic, vibration, and fatigue simulations.
The candidate will support product development through simulation-driven design validation, optimization, and risk assessment.
This role is ideal for an engineer who has strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, good working knowledge of simulation tools such as ANSYS Mechanical and Altair, and the ability to collaborate with design, R&D, testing, and product engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute mechanical simulations using tools such as ANSYS Mechanical, Altair platforms.
* Perform static, transient, modal, vibration, fatigue, and dynamic simulations for mechanical and electromechanical structures.
* Create and validate high-quality 3D simulation models, including geometry cleanup, meshing, material definition, contacts, loads, and boundary conditions.
* Partner with design and testing teams to identify failure modes and develop effective solutions to engineering challenges.
* Perform technical risk analysis and contribute to design decisions during product development stages.
* Support simulation-based design optimization and contribute to digital validation / digital twin initiatives.
* Prepare simulation reports and document.
* Own assigned simulation deliverables and ensure timely completion with required quality.
* Interpret simulation results and provide recommendations to optimize designs, improve product robustness, and support design reviews with cross-functional teams.
Required Technical Skills
* Mechanical Simulation: Hands-on experience in ANSYS Mechanical for static and dynamic simulations.
Working knowledge of Space Claim / Discovery for geometry preparation and simplification.
Ability to perform linear and basic nonlinear simulations.
Good understanding of meshing techniques, contact definitions, convergence, and result validation.
* Engineering Fundamentals: Strong understanding of Strength of materials, Engineering mechanics, Failure theories, Vibration fundamentals, Fatigue concepts, Structural dynamics.
Ability to apply first-principal calculations to validate simulation outputs.
* CAD and Geometry Handling: Basic working knowledge of Creo or any equivalent CAD tool.
* Electromechanical Product Understanding: Basic understanding of electromechanical systems, assemblies, enclosures, brackets, mechanisms, and mounting structures.
Required Behavioural Skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to work independently on assigned simulation tasks with minimal supervision.
* Good communication skills to present technical findings clearly to design and project teams.
* Ability to work in ambiguous situations and convert engineering problems into simulation approaches.
* Ownership mindset toward simulation qual...
