Mechanical Engineer

WHAT WE NEED: Mechanical Engineer The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing mechanical systems and components within a wide range of projects.

This position is crucial in ensuring the successful completion of projects while adhering to applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.

The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other engineers, designers, and project managers, to deliver innovative solutions and meet project objectives.

Responsibilities: Develop mechanical system designs, including equipment selection, sizing, and layout.

Conduct analysis and simulations to assess the performance and efficiency of mechanical components and systems.Ensure quality project packages are prepared by performing calculations and drawing reviews to ensure the project package meets all applicable design codes and requirements, while meeting client standards.

Participate in project planning activities, and collaborate with project teams to define project goals, scope, and requirements to ensure successful execution.

Compile and review equipment specifications, compile bid tabulations, and recommend equipment to clients.Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports for mechanical systems.Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Perform and check engineering calculations including pipe stress analysis, hydraulics calculations, pressure vessel calculations, atmospheric storage tank calculations and miscellaneous engineering calculations.

Identify potential risks and challenges associated with mechanical systems and propose mitigation strategies.

Evaluate the impact of design changes and provide technical support to resolve issues during project implementation.Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and engineering coordinators, to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.

Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as suppliers and contractors, to ensure timely delivery and installation of mechanical components.

Compile and review Total Installed Cost (TIC) project estimates.

WHO WE NEED: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering is required.4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a project-based environmentProficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
