Job Duties and Responsibilities:


* Ability to follow directions.


* Actively participate in weekly safety meetings (Tool Box Talks)


* Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.


* Report to the assigned job site in proper work attire ready to begin work at the designated start time.


* Strict adherence to all Safety Practices & Procedures.


* Strict adherence to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the book of company policies.


* Building laboratory prototype models for testing.


* Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses using various analytical instruments and techniques, including but not limited to spectrophotometry, colorimetry, and titration.


* Prepare and standardize chemical solutions, reagents, and samples according to established protocols.


* Maintain accurate records of experimental data, observations, and results.


* Assist in the calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.


* Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.


* Maintain clean lab working area after completion of job tasks and dispose of debris properly.


* Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:


* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).


* Previous experience operating or working around heavy equipment.


* Previous laboratory experience or coursework in analytical chemistry and/or hydraulics laboratory.

Experience with inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analysis is an asset.


* Ability to work with general tools and build prototypes with minimal supervision


* General knowledge of lifting and loading techniques


* Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including troubleshooting and maintenance.


* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.


* Ability to stand for long periods of time with regular stretch breaks


* Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)


* Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.


* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
