Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift
Position Summary
The Production Supervisor provides frontline leadership for manufacturing operations, driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

This position plays a critical role in developing team members, improving operational performance, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 15 to 20 employees while ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements.
Schedule
Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Team Size: Approximately 15-20 employees
Key Responsibilities


* Promote and maintain a safe work environment.


* Lead, coach, and develop production team members.


* Direct daily production activities to ensure customer requirements and on-time delivery commitments are met.


* Monitor production performance and drive improvements in efficiency, labor utilization, quality, and waste reduction.


* Recruit, train, onboard, and develop team members.


* Manage employee performance through coaching and accountability.


* Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve operational issues.


* Lead continuous improvement initiatives.


* Utilize root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.


* Ensure accurate and timely completion of production reports.


* Maintain and promote 5S standards.


* Support inventory accuracy, material flow, and production scheduling requirements.


* Foster a positive, team-oriented culture.

Required Qualifications


* Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.


* Demonstrated success leading hourly production employees.


* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


* Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.


* Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.


* Ability to manage multiple priorities.


* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


* Ability to build productive working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications


* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field.


* Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.


* Experience with root cause analysis tools.


* Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.


* Experience managing KPIs.


* Understanding of OSHA and workplace safety standards.
