ETO Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile ETO Design Engineer to join our Custom Design Engineering Group in our Engineer-to-Order (ETO) factory.

This role is critical in supporting custom product design, prototyping, and production readiness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering fundamentals, hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, and the ability to collaborate across design, production, and quality teams.

What will you do?


* Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Review and scrub BOMs for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability.

Ensure alignment between design specifications and production requirements.


* Design & Documentation: Create and update detailed AutoCAD drawings and engineering documentation.

Support design modifications for custom projects and ensure compliance with standards.


* Prototype Development: Lead and assist in prototype builds, ensuring functionality and design integrity.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize designs.

Create working relationships Work with UL representatives.


* Testing & Quality Support: Participate in product testing and validation activities.

Provide technical assistance to the Quality Assurance team for inspections and compliance.


* Creation of part specifications

What qualifications will make you successful?


* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).


* 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or custom design environment.


* Strong understanding of BOM structures and ERP systems.


* Engineer-to-order (ETO) process experience


* Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with other CAD tools such as Creo are a plus.


* Hands-on experience with prototype assembly and testing.
