Access Center Specialist II

We are seeking a Full-Time Access Center Specialist II to join our Orlando, Florida team in a hybrid role focused on connection, accuracy, and compassionate service.

This role serves as a trusted guide for patients, families, providers, and internal teams-scheduling specialty appointments, verifying insurance and registration details, explaining financial responsibilities, and helping ensure each care journey starts smoothly and confidently.

This is a hybrid role.
What You'll Do


* Be the welcoming voice that schedules specialty appointments and follows up when needed.


* Capture accurate patient, insurance, registration, and billing information in the EMR.


* Help families understand insurance eligibility, authorizations, and financial responsibilities.


* Move urgent needs forward quickly by prioritizing and escalating appointment concerns.


* Prepare families for successful visits by sharing directions, requirements, and next steps.


* Keep teams informed through clear documentation, work queue review, and timely follow-through.


* Support daily access operations, including staff messages, cancelled clinic requests, and appointment accuracy.


* Partner professionally with clinics, physicians, managers, and internal departments.


* Protect confidentiality while living Nemours' mission, values, policies, and service standards.

Qualifications


* High School Diploma required.


* More than one year of customer service, medical office, or call center experience preferred.


* NAHAM/CHAA certification preferred.
