Payroll & Benefits Administrator

1.0 Summary Job Function The Payroll & Benefits Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of company payroll and the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs across TESCO's U.S.

and Canadian locations.

This role ensures compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local wage and hour laws, maintains payroll and benefits records, and serves as a primary point of contact for employees regarding pay, deductions, and benefits inquiries.

The Payroll & Benefits Administrator works closely with HR and Finance to support accurate recordkeeping, timely reporting, and a positive employee experience.

2.0 Qualifications Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience 3+ years payroll experience in a multi-location environment 3.0 Skills and Abilities Strong working knowledge of payroll processing, tax withholding, and wage and hour laws (U.S.

and Canadian) Familiarity with employee benefits administration, including health, dental, retirement, and leave programs Proficiency with HRIS/payroll platforms (e.g., UKG Ready) and strong Excel skills High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with sensitive financial and personal data Strong organizational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain pay and benefits information clearly to employees at all levels Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve payroll or benefits discrepancies Ability to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and external vendors/providers Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements, including Canadian payroll and benefits regulations.

4.0 Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for U.S.

and Canadian employees Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local wage and hour regulations Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and COBRA where applicable Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and benefits Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and year-end reporting (e.g., W-2s, T4s) in coordination with Finance and external providers Process new hire, termination, and status change information within the payroll and benefits systems Support open enrollment processes, including communicating deadlines and changes to employees Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee financial and personal information Stay current on changes to payroll, tax, and benefits regulations across all jurisdictions where TESCO operates Assist with audits related to payroll, benefits, and workers' compensation as needed Other duties as assigned 5.0 Competency/Training Requirement On-Boarding Training (Quality Policy, QMS, Employee Hand...
