Drywaller
Position Overview As a Drywaller, under the direction of the Lead Project Manager, you willbe responsible forperforming paint and drywall for water, fire, wind, and mold repair projects.
Responsibilities TheDrywallerperforms the following duties along with anyadditionalduties asassigned by management per business needs.
Ability to paint surfaces including walls, floors, doors, and cabinets Mix,matchand apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes Scrape, sandpaper, prime and/or seal surfaces prior to painting Clean walls to ensure proper adherence Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection Calculate amounts of required materials Fill holes, cracks and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking gun or putty knives Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting Tape off areas when needed Knowledgeable on masking and working in occupied homes Apply drywall to walls or ceilings Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints Measure, cut, fit, and fasten panels Read blueprints and designs Drive to jobs daily Work overtime as needed Practice safe and efficient work techniques to minimize potential injuries and hazardous conditions Participate in safety meetings and inspections Ensure that material areas are kept neat and orderly Alwaysmaintainacceptable levels of housekeepingwith regard toequipment and assigned work area and/or department Qualifications 2-5 years of verifiable experience Knowledge of industry tools and how to use andmaintainthem Good communicationskills, written and verbal Strong customer service skills Ability to work both independently and as a team All applicants must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States All applicants must have good DMV and be able to pass insurance companys criminal background check Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
