Assistant AML/CFT Officer
Assistant AML/CFT Officer Position Summary The Assistant AML/CFT Officer supports the Bank's BSA, AML, OFAC, CIP, and CDD compliance programs by assisting with regulatory compliance, transaction monitoring, investigations, reporting, risk management, training, and examination activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the administration of the Bank's BSA/AML compliance program.Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.Monitor regulatory changes and assist with program updates as needed.Review transaction monitoring alerts and investigate unusual or suspicious activity.Document investigative findings and maintain required records.Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).Review high-risk customer relationships, enhanced due diligence documentation, customer risk ratings, and beneficial ownership information.Conduct OFAC and sanctions screening reviews and resolve potential matches.Assist with regulatory examinations, audits, and internal reviews, including gathering requested documentation and tracking corrective actions.Assist in developing and delivering employee BSA/AML training.Prepare reports, risk assessments, and management information for leadership and committees.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Associate's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.Two to five years of experience in banking, compliance, BSA/AML, auditing, or risk managementExperience with transaction monitoring, investigations, and regulatory reporting preferred.Knowledge of BSA, AML, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, and related banking regulations.Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and compliance monitoring software.
