Winder - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift hours are from 3 PM-11 PM.

Ritz offers a shift differential of an additional $0.59 per hour for 2nd shift on top of your regular base rate.

Training will take place during 3rd shift hours, which are from 11 PM-7 AM, Sunday-Thursday.

SUMMARY Operate winding machine per Engineering specification.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Verify raw material you will work with are correct according to your work orderInspect material for nonconformancesPrepare material for windingLoad material onto winding machineStrip insulation from end of wiresOperate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)Complete daily production logsCommunicate with operators from other shiftsClean and maintain work areaOther duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist mechanics and machinists in repair workPerform back-up for LV pre-assemblyProvide on-the-job training to new employees KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalentThe ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writingManual dexterity required for operating machinery and computersAbility to lift up to 50 pounds required WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions are consistent with that of a manufacturing environment: loud, high-heat, and fast-paced.

Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and strict adherence to PPE protocols.

Equipment operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses and steel toe shoes, loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Hair that touches the shoulders must be pinned up so as not to touch the shoulder.
