This is a hands-on, deck plate leadership role: the Trade Manager sets the daily direction for Trade Leads and their teams, stays engaged before, during, and after every job, and partners closely with the broader Service Team to build schedules that keep work moving.

Beyond the day-to-day, this role is about building people, developing Team Leaders and Team Members, earning the trust of internal and external stakeholders, and delivering on commitments that define the department's reputation.

Success is defined by strong leadership that turns a diverse group of tradespeople into a single, unstoppable team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the pipe welding, plumbing, and valve service sections as a single, cohesive department.Lead and motivate highly skilled, multi-disciplined teams in achieving deliverables on time and on budget.Responsible for daily work scheduling, budget management, and manpower and resource allocation across the department.Liaise with Project Managers, Customers, and Vessel Management Representatives to resolve complex technical issues.Assist with the inspection, estimation, and development of scope for new work proposals.Work with the Project Management team to develop schedules, costing, and milestone definitions for jobs and tasks across the department.

Evaluate manpower forecasts to ensure resource availability.Guide Team Leaders in managing jobs and tasks in accordance with defined quality, cost, delivery, and safety specifications.Perform daily time audits and work order review assessments across all tasks.Ensure appropriate materials (piping, fittings, valves, actuators, welding consumables, and related supplies) are on hand in a timely manner.Manage the In Process Quality Assurance (IPQA) program for the shop, to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest industry and classification society standards.Manage personnel certification records and required continued ...
