Taproom Bartender (Part-Time, On-Call)

Native Preference in hiring is given to qualified enrolled members of Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians and Native Americans in accordance with the Bands Preference Policy, Chapter 1-715 of the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians Tribal Policies).

Applicants claiming Indian Preference must submit verification of Indian certified by tribe of affiliation or other acceptable documentation of Indian heritage.

POSITION SUMMARY The Taproom Bartender represents Paskenta Mad River Brewing LLC to all customers that come through the doors.

They provide excellent service and uphold the companys policies and values through each transaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides constant, attentive and friendly service to patrons.Obtains orders from patrons.Ability to operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system along with collecting cash, making change and processing credit card transactions.Monitors consumption of alcohol served to patrons.Must be able to keep the bar clean, stocked, and organized.Must learn about brewery beers to relay to patrons.Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the beer garden, porch areas, back bar, seating area and restrooms.Responsible for cleaning equipment, furniture and fixtures.Responsible for bussing tablesMaintains confidential daily record keeping of tips.Upholds standards set by Alcohol Beverage Control Board of California.Ability to follow directions and work independently.Responsible for opening and/or closing the facility, as well as ensuring the building is secure.Set-up and clean-up prior to opening and at the end of a shift.Ensures safe food and beverage handling.Ability to build relationships with food vendors and bands.Responsible for enforcing the Taprooms PoliciesAble to maintain a hospitable and team atmosphere with fellow staff.Responsible for documenting incidents.Relays any complaints, problems or positive remarks to Management.Follows established company and departmental standards for personal appearance and behavior.Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Must be able to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.Must possess excellent customer service skills and have a positive attitude.Must possess a strong sense of integrity.Ability to de-escalate situations.Ability to demonstrate good judgement, problem solving, and decision-making skills.Must have an open mind and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.Demonstrated knowledge or willingness to learn craft beer and production.Familiarity with POS and office softwareAbility to learn and maintain awareness of overall operations when handling issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED required.Previous customer service experience is required.Responsible Beverage Server Training is required upon hire.Serve Safe Certificate is preferred but can be obtained upon hire.Willing to obtain a food handlers certificate.Must be familiar with POS and Office SoftwareMust be a minimum of 21 years of age.
